Thanks to it’s incredible fast and easy control for Audio and Midi data, the MidJay is a perfect show machine for the contemporary Live entertainer. The KETRON MidJay incorporates a 20G Hard Disk, USB, MIDI, WAVE and MP3 Player capabilities; H.D. Recording, Video interface, Floppy Disk, a large high resolution LCD Display, Stereo Line input, Microphone and Vocalizer (optional). The new machine is fitted also with a new hi-quality Sound generator, with punchy Drum Sets, special Effects and very realistic Instrumental Voices, following the tradition of KETRON for best natural sounds.
An Alpha Dial plus 8 sliders for separate volume control and specialized fast access tabs have been added to ensure the easiest live performance control for Midi, Wave and Mp3’s files. A sophisticated Automatic Crossfade function permits a fluent non-stop crossing from one file to the next, regardless of which audio file is playing!
The KETRON MidJay also comes with an extensive Midi file EDITOR, which incorporates the possibility to change the parameters, sounds and controls for each track (even ADSR and Filter), with up to 16 Markers and with a powerful Play List with Song Chain function. Files can be addressed numerically or alphabetically or can be directly scrolled through. The user can also easily associate and synchronize Lyrics or Text files with Midi files, Waves and MP3’s. The Microphone section is set up with professional controls (Pre-amp, gain, filter, effects) and can be used to record on the H.D. live vocal performances together with the Midi Song.
The MidJay is also a professional DRUM Machine, with new punchy Drum Sets and 100 Remix Styles that the user can freely associate with Midi files and even replace their original Drum Set A new DJLoop section features hi-quality Dance, R&B and House Stereo Loops that can be played interactively by the musician.
The Voice Canceller function cut (for fun) mutes the lead Voice, and allows the user to sing with just the instrumental sound track of an audio Wave file! With the help of the USB socket the internal H.D. directories of MidJay can be easily organized directly from a PC/Mac and large file transfers (such as with Waves or Mp3’s) are no longer a problem. The convenience of the Floppy drive unit makes it even easier importing Midi files directly (without a PC) while the RGB socket permits the instant connection of a external Monitor (or, with the proper adaptor, a TV). Using the Line In stereo input, you can also connect an external CD or MiniDisc to the MidJay and it’s volume can be properly controlled with the Line In fader. Very compact size, light weight and a breakthrough price point are additional ‘goodies’ of this product.
